Ines Kaun
Growing up in Berlin, Ines Kaun began studying choral conducting in Weimar in 2008, with Prof. Jürgen Puschbeck (choral conducting) and Prof. Gunter Kahlert (orchestral conducting)
Thanks to her scholarship abroad at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm with Prof. Fredrik Malmberg her interest of modern Nordic choral music still exerts a great fascination. From 2013 to 2018, Ines Kaun was a scholarship holder of the Choral Conductors' Forum of the German Music Council. Here she worked with the NDR, MDR and WDR choirs, among others. In 2018 she became a finalist for the German Choral Conductor Award with the RIAS Chamber Choir.
At the same time, Ines Kaun began her career at music theatre, first as deputy choir master at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and from 2016 as choir master with conducting duties at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. In Heidelberg, she conducted choral symphonic concerts and performances, including Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. She was also the music director of the musical theatre production Coro Fantastico. In 2018 she became second choir master of the Bamberg Symphonic Choir and made her debut with the SWR Choir in 2019.
