Jan Sörberg

Born and raised on Selaön in Lake Mälaren.

Education: Operastudio 67, Ingesund College of Music, Ingesunds Musiklinje

Joined the Royal Swedish Opera in 1998.

Roles at the Opera: A Slave (Die Zauberflöte), Thierry (Dialogues des carmélites), Un commissionario (La traviata), The Aumonnier (Der Rosenkavalier), A Boxer (Sport och Fritid), A Bishop (Christina), Envoy from Flanders (Don Carlos), Alte Diener (Elektra), The Wig Maker in Ariadne auf Naxos (Strauss) and the role of Robin Starveling in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Britten).

Other engagements: male quartet in Time Themes (production with the Royal Swedish Ballet).
