Anneli Jupither
Soprano Anneli Jupiter was born and raised in Stockholm and was educated at the Ingesund Academy of Music, Opera Studio 67 and the Stockholm Opera School.
She made her dbut as Sieglinde in Wilhelm Carlsson's production of Die Walküre at Wermland Opera in 2011. In the same production she also appeared as Wellgunde in Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung and as Ortlinde in Die Walküre.
Anneli was then employed in Germany at the Theater Magdeburg. There she sang the title role in Jenufa, Agathe in Der Freischütz, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann.
She has also sung Freia in Das Rheingold at the Dalhalla Opera Festival. In the summer of 2014, Anneli appeared as the Guardian and as a cover for Chrysothemis in La Fura and the Bau production of Elektra at Norrlandsoperan.
Among the numerous scholarships that Anneli has received, the following can be mentioned: The Swedish Wagner Society's Bayreuth scholarship and Anders Wall's Confidence scholarship. In 2011 she received the Birgit Nilsson scholarship in Västra Karup's church and she reached the final as the only soprano in the International Wagner Stimmen competition held at the Badisches Staatsteater in Karlsruhe in 2012.
She was employed at the Royal Swedish Opera in 2018 where she has sung among others The Guardian in Elektra, the title role in Ada, Short Stories IV, and minor roles in Suor Angelica and in The Promise by Mats Larsson Gothe.
