In this new production he is a dangerous force, the embodiment of every evil that exists in the world. For how would life and the world be if people acted without caring about the consequences? And what happens when those exploited have had enough?
Don Giovanni is among the great opera classics with new versions constantly appearing. The vision on which this production of the opera is based is a dystopic future, a battered post-apocalyptic world. Perhaps the protagonist is not only going to hell, maybe that’s where he came from?
