One of the Opera's most important missions is to create significant performances for children and young people and to make it possible for them to practice culture. This is where Young Opera - one of the Royal Swedish Opera's three artistic departments - comes into the picture. For over twenty years, Young Opera has created better conditions for young culture.

Young Opera have several different projects aimed at schools, from regular performances or visits to the Opera House and instrument testing to more extensive Creative School projects. Some performances from the regular repertoire are also available as school performances.

Become a school representative and the contact between your school and the Opera's children and youth activities
School classes come to the Opera to discover opera, ballet and music. Young Opera offers performances and educational activities for school classes from preschool to high school. You pass on the information you receive from us as a school representative to relevant colleagues and students. Three times per semester you will receive a newsletter and you will also be invited to representative evenings and teacher evenings.
