Young Operan on tour autumn 2025

This autumn, more children and young people in Sweden will get the chance to experience our Young Opera activities when we go on tour! In collaboration with Folkets Hus & Parker, we will visit Jönköping, Hallunda, Sollefteå and Ulricehamn from September to November. Our educators will both visit schools and organize open activities on Saturdays with workshops, costume fitting, try-on activities and a screening of one of the Young Opera performances on a big screen.

We will visit:
Jönköping September 26 - 27
Hallunda October 10 - 11
Sollefteå October 17 - 18
Ulricehamn November 20 -22

On August 16, Young Opera will participate in the Jordbro Festival with the posibility to try on costumes for all curious visitors. Hope to see you in, and outside, the Opera House this autumn!

Did you know that…

  • Tickets to our performances are half price if you are under the age of 26!
  • Jeans or dinner jacket – both are fine as long as you feel comfortable.
  • A 15-minute introduction of the work you are about to see is scheduled 45 minutes before most opera and ballet performances.
  • We recommend visitors to arrive at least 20 minutes before the performance begins. It will give you time to hand in your coat and find your seat before the curtain goes up.
  • Admission to the auditorium closes when the performance begins (hence: be on time!).
  • Operas performed on the main stage are surtitled in Swedish, unless they are sung in Swedish.
  • Most of our performances include an intermission. Intermission refreshments can be prebooked up until 22.00 the day before your visit. Any remaining seats can be booked on the night.
  • If you want to read more about what to expect before a visit to the Royal Swedish Opera, you can do so here. And if you have questions once on the premises, our ushers will be more than happy to help.
