A visit to the magical house
From early morning there is full activity in every corner of the Opera House and more than a hundred different professionals work together to create opera and ballet performances. In addition to exploring the Opera House both behind and in front of the stage, the children can try out an activity. You can, for example, try on costumes, visit the ballet's morning class or sit in on a rehearsal for a while. Or try an instrument.
- School visits are available for pre-school classes from the age of 5 and school classes up to high school.
- A visit usually starts at 9.30am and lasts until lunch.
- We accept a maximum of 30 people per group, including accompanying adults.
- We recommend that the classes bring packed lunches or snacks that can be eaten in the house.
Morning at the Opera
Young Opera open the doors to all of Sweden's school classes - from five-year-olds through to high school. During one morning, students get to experience the Opera House, both in front of and behind the scenes. The visit usually starts at 09.30 with a guided tour. The show is then followed by an age-appropriate activity such as a costume fitting, getting to watch part of a rehearsal, or watching the ballet's morning class. During the visit, it is possible to eat a packed lunch. The morning ends at approx. noon.
