Örjan Wikforss is architect SAR/MSA, doctor of technology and professor.
Örjan Wikforss is currently active as a senior advisor and board member. As an intern, he has previously run Wikfors' Architects office in Uppsala. He has worked at White arkitekter and was CEO of FFNS Arkitekter and head of IT and R&D at Sweco.
In 2007, Örjan Wikforss was appointed professor of project communication, KTH. He earned his doctorate in architecture in 1977 and was appointed docent in design theory in 1980. He has been an adjunct professor at Chalmers Architecture (1986-96), SLU Landscape Planning (1994-00) and visiting professor at the Department of Industrial Economics, KTH (2000-06).
Örjan Wikforss has been a member of the board of the Royal Swedish Opera since 2015, where he is also vice chairman since 2018. He has been a member of IVA, the Academy of Engineering Sciences since 1996 and was chairman of department III Civil Engineering 2007-09. He has participated in several boards and committees; The Building Research Council, Building Standardisation, Swedish Byggtjänst, ISO, SAR, IT Bygg och Fastighet, Arkus, IQ Samhällsbyggnad, Umeå School of Architecture, Swedish Research School in Architecture, ResArc, Sveriges Arkitekter, the foundation Svensk Industridesign, SVID, Tengbomgruppen AB and Akademiska Hus AB.
