Marianne has her education from the Norwegian Academy of Music, the University of Music in Malmö and the Edsberg Music Institute in Stockholm.
In 2003, she began a permanent position in the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. A few years later, she moved back to Stockholm to try her luck as a freelancer. Since then, in addition to the Royal Swedish Orchestra, she has worked as a substitute in the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, the Kongelige Kapel, the Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra.
