Born 1959 in Enköping. Raised in Farsta south of Stockholm. Municipal music school in Söderort 1968–1978. Teacher: Rune Larsson and later Olle Segerås. Further studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm 1979–1984 for Bruno Lavér and Knut Sönstevold.
In parallel with studies, repeated substitutes in the Radio Symphony, the Philharmonic and the Royal Swedish Orchestra. Participated in several productions at the Folkoperan.
After studying in Stockholm, freelance tasks and additional bassoon lessons with the Danish bassoonist Asger Svendsen.
Obtained permanent employment in the Royal Swedish Orchestra in 1987.
