A marvelous small-format opera production with a score that sounds like a combination of Tchaikovsky and Tom & Jerry - for children from the age of 6 yrs!
Gun’s mother and father are divorcing and are always fighting. Gun is feeling lonely, but then her cat, Majs, starts to talk to her. A new friendship is born – a relationship that becomes increasingly important in Gun’s insecure life. But who wakes her when she sleepwalks?
A marvelous small-format opera production with a score that sounds like a combination of Tchaikovsky and Tom & Jerry. In 2022 it was performed in Stockholm's parklekar and throughout the country via the Riksteatern – now Sleeping Awake is finally coming to the Royal Swedish Opera. A musical experience with a story that everyone can relate to – being afraid of the unknown and finding comfort where you least expect it.
For children from the age of 6 yrs. A collaboration with Riksteatern.
