Berthold Grossewebb 3 4.

Born 1972 in Germany. Even as a child, his biggest wish was to play the bassoon. After classical training at the music academies in Weimar and Cologne, he started as solo bassoonist at the Thuringian Philharmonie Suhl at the age of 19.

Seven years later, Berthold headed to his new location at the Landestheater Eisenach. Two years later he was employed as 1st solo bassoonist at the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker/Deutsche Oper am Rhein. In the meantime, he was also musically active in other ways: as a founder of the "Mozart-Sextetten Weimar" with productions in Europe and Japan, a sextet with which there is also a disc production.

Several years later, he decided to broaden the horizons of his life; he became alternating voice leader in the Royal Swedish Orchestra.

In addition to his work at the Opera, Berthold is fascinated by various kinds of arts and crafts from which he gets inspiration for making music.
