Born in Helsinki into a Finnish-Swedish musical family. Violin studies from the age of 5 at the Western Helsinki Music Institute and then the soloist line of the Sibelius Academy.
Edsberg's Music Institute in Sollentuna for professor Endre Wolf 1990-1993, obtained a chamber music diploma in 1993.
Voice leader in 2nd violin in Gothenburg's symphony 1993-1996, at the same time studying at the University of Music in Cologne with professor Mihaela Martin.
Soloist diploma 1995, played the Sibelius violin concerto with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Okko Kamu.
Worked in Uppsala chamber soloists 1995-96 and in 1996 became alt. first concertmaster in Sweden's radio symphony orchestra. Was also in the years 1998-2002 first concertmaster in the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra.
Is from 2011 first concert master in the Royal Swedish Orchestra. Regular guest as concertmaster of most orchestras in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Also guests orchestras in Spain and has led the BBC Symphony Orchestra at a Proms concert in the Albert Hall in London.
Has played a lot with the Finnish chamber orchestra Avanti, which was founded by Esa-Pekka Salonen and Jukka-Pekka Saraste and has also been a guest of the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra with Iona Brown as leader on many occasions.
Jannika regularly plays chamber music and is a guest at various festivals and has played with her quartet in large parts of the world.
Has also played a lot of musicals, including Kristina from Duvemåla and Chess and Jannika also plays in ABBA's latest album Voyager.
