Kati Raitinen combines her service as solo cellist at the Royal Opera with extensive involvement in both national and international chamber music. As a member of the string trio ZilliacusPerssonRaitinen, she has won several Swedish Grammis awards. They have also received the Royal Academy of Music's Grand Interpreter Award. In addition to CD recordings, she has often recorded for radio and TV, the latest of which is the world premiere of Amanda Maier's piano trio. Kati Raitinen studied in Helsinki for prof. Martti Rousi and in Stockholm for prof. Frans Helmerson.
