Olle Pettersson was born and raised in Strängnäs. After training as a musician at the University of Music in Gothenburg (1999–2005), Olle moved back to his hometown and has since been based in Strängnäs for his musical assignments.
Since the graduation concert in 2005 until his employment in the Royal Swedish Orchestra in January 2012, Olle has worked as a freelancer in a large part of Sweden's orchestras. Some of these are Norrland Opera, Gothenburg Opera, Gothenburg, Norrköping, Gävle Symphony Orchestra, Scenkonst Sörmland.
In addition to playing with the orchestra, Olle tries to keep the soloist and chamber music repertoire going through a few solo concerts a year as well as performances with the percussion duo DuoKalimbu.
