What does the Young Opera project entail?
Young Opera have the fantastic mission of creating opera, ballet and dance for children and young people based on their perspectives and needs. We do this through performances, Children's Saturdays and holiday activities, educational activities in schools and our web series The Magical House. Our goal is to constantly reach more children and young people, in the Stockholm area and throughout Sweden.
All children, regardless of background or socio-economic status, have the right to culture. Every year, Young Opera reaches tens of thousands of children who may never have come into contact with opera and ballet before. Now we want to reach out to even more young people and we can do that with your help. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Young Opera, we are starting the Young Opera Appeal, where all contributions, large or small, will be dedicated to developing our activities. Your support can, for example, contribute to more school performances, new episodes of The Magical House, the opportunity to to do even more creative school workshops and to invite more students to guided tours of the Opera House.

Unga Operan/Young Opera has existed for more than 20 years, and to strengthen this artistic department, we have started the Young Opera appeal, where all contributions, big or small, will go towards developing the activities that aim to reach children and young people through opera, ballet and dance based on their perspective and needs. In recognition of your contribution
All who contribute SEK 300 or more will receive a beautiful brooch with the Royal Swedish Opera emblem. The gift can be claimed from the Royal Swedish Opera box office. If you live outside Stockholm, you can have it sent to your home address for the price of the postage.
