Bus to Where is the sandwich?

Thanks to a contribution from donor Kerstin Schörling, we were able to offer free transportation to a number of school children during spring 2023. Not only a way to cut costs for schools, but also helpful to avoid a journey can be both long and involve several changes.

The pocket opera Sova vaken (Sleeping awake)

Tack vare vår samarbetspartner Wallenius kunde vi ta fram "pocket operan" Sova vaken som först turnerade inom ramen för Parkteatern i Stockholmstrakten under sommaren 2022 - och sedan på turné med Riksteatern under hösten 2022!

Thanks to our partner Wallenius, we were able to produce the "pocket opera" Sova vaken, which first toured within the framework of Parkteatern in the Stockholm region during the summer of 2022 - and then went on to tour with Riksteatern during the autumn the same year!

The web series The Magical House

A big thank you to the foundation Signatur and Jacob Wallenberg's foundation - Särkilda fonden, who both contributed to making the recordings of The Magical House possible. There have been more than 15 episodes in the series since the start in 2020 that could be distributed free of charge to children and young people on our digital stage Operan Play!

A new harp for the Royal Swedish Orchestra

Thanks to donations from the Patron's Fund, we have been able to invest in a long-awaited new harp of the highest quality for the Royal Swedish Orchestra. The orchestra is in constant need of new instruments, but also contributions to be able to care for the often invaluable older instruments that the orchestra owns.

New equipment in the physio department

Our performers (dancers, singers, orchestra members) subject their bodies to great strain over time. That's why our physio department is hugely important - and thanks to a private donation, we were able to update the equipment, which makes working is a lot easier.

Concert for young audience - Hjärtats speldosa (The Heart's Music Box)

Hjärtats speldosa is a musical storytime for children aged 4 and up, specially commissioned by Young Opera, celebrating the artistic section's 20th anniversary. The story is accompanied by music for cello and music box with a 20 meter long strip. Preschool classes and year 1 from Sätraskolan in Skärholmen were invited to the premiere performance. With the help of a donation from Wallenius, all children were offered a free bus ride to the Opera House.

Cacti - thanks to Pro Suecia

Alexander Ekman's internationally perhaps best-known work, CACTI (2010), had never before been shown in Sweden when it was staged, in the midst of a raging pandemic, in the fall of 2020 at the Royal Swedish Opera, thanks to the support of the Barbro Osher Pro Suecia Foundation.
