Roma Loukes

Roma Loukes, born in Dorset, UK, is educated at the Birmingham Conservatoire and the Stockholm University of the Arts.

She has been employed in the Royal Swedish Opera Chorus since 2023. She has appeared as soloist at the Royal Swedish Opera as Ortlinde in Die Walküre and Flower maiden in Parsifal.

She has also been engaged as a freelance singer in the choruses of the Gothenburg Opera, Wermland Opera and Opera Holland Park as well as in the ensemble for musicals such as Kristina från Duvemåla and The Phantom of the Opera where she also covered the role of Confidante. She played the role of Ella-Stina in the children's opera Pans Förtrollade Trädgård for OperaRop.

Abroad, she has performed roles such as Euridice in Glück's Orfeo ed Euridice for the Festivale di Cantiere di Montepulciano and Paula in the recently written opera Nine Stories High for the Welsh National Opera.

Roma Loukes appears regularly as a concert and oratorio soloist.
